Wednesday, April 10th, the St. Charles Convention Center invited clients to take part in sampling new menu items and experiencing decor, lighting, and entertainment that the Convention Center can provide for their event.
Guests were able to sample a variety of food options that will be featured on our new Catering Menus, being released later this year. Some of the highlights included Beef Wellington, Roast Prime Rib, Beef Short Ribs, Ratatouille, a Sushi and Shrimp Display, a Potato Bar, and a variety of desserts. Our Food and Beverage team, led by Director Richard McConnell, has been working hard to update our Catering Menu to provide new and exciting options for every type of event.
Along with experiencing the new menu, guests were treated to a “Rustic Spring” themed Grand Ballroom as an example of ways to spice up their events. Intelligent Lighting was displayed on the walls, creating a magical forest atmosphere, and was provided by Alobars Lighting & Sound and greatly helps make the room light up and feel exciting. Alobars also demonstrated some of their theatrical elements, including a fog machine and a bubble machine.
Decor for the event was provided by All Seasons Party Linen Rental. The wood tables and chairs allowed the theme to be more cohesive, and combined with the trees, barrel cocktail tables, and florals provided a unique look.
Throughout the evening, live music was performed by our very own Event Manager Chase Garrett! Chase and his wife Emily are members of St. Louis’ Premier Jump Blues Band Sweetie and the Toothaches.
