🏆 October Employee of the Month: Joe Marts
Joe is a great asset of the Operations Department often referred to as the “Swiss Army knife” of the team, as he assists with Security, IT and Event Setup whenever needed. He quickly stepped up to become the official forklift operator supporting the lower loading dock, outside storage and the Security Department. He is extremely reliable and can always be counted on across all departments at a moment’s notice.

St. Charles, MO – October 22, 2024 – The St. Charles Convention Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Cody Thomas, CVP as the new Director of Events. Cody joins the St. Charles team with a wealth of experience in event management and a proven track record of leadership within the industry.
Cody Thomas began his career with OVG in 2016 as an Event Manager of the Owensboro Convention Center, where he quickly demonstrated his dedication and talent in overseeing successful events. His passion for delivering exceptional experiences and his ability to manage large-scale events led to his promotion in 2020 to Director of Events. In this role, Cody led a team of event professionals and played a pivotal role in streamlining operations, improving client satisfaction, and ensuring flawless event execution.
A proud member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), Cody recently achieved the Certified Venue Professional (CVP) designation, further solidifying his expertise and commitment to the industry. His combination of hands-on experience, leadership, and professional certifications makes him an invaluable addition to the St. Charles Convention Center team.
“We are thrilled to have Cody join us at the St. Charles Convention Center,” said Mark Tenholder, General Manager of St. Charles Convention Center. “His leadership skills, industry knowledge, and passion for events align perfectly with our mission to provide outstanding experiences for our clients and guests.”
