(St. Charles, MO) – Prior to the opening of the St. Charles Convention Center in 2005, there was much speculation that the deficit of the facility would be a financial burden for the St. Charles community. However, under Spectra’s management the Center has delivered positive results far beyond any expectations.
The St. Charles Convention Center has experienced continued incremental growth and success in its fourteen years of operation; contradicting the initial argument of financial deficits year after year. The SCCC is one of the few Convention Centers in the nation delivering “in the black” results. 2018 will be the eighth consecutive year Spectra has accomplished this, thanks in part to the building’s staff, management, and sales philosophy.
The Convention Center places a strong emphasis on growing occupancy, revenues, and profits by practicing yield management; working with clients to ensure success and satisfaction, thereby maintaining stellar retention rates; and delivering creative rental packages combined with in-house food and audio visual services.
